Ariel

Danish premiere
Ariel

Ariel is about a child born with wings. This is a myth about the possibilities of a human being, but also the limits, insecurities and evil, which can cause tragic consequences. Who dares to experience a wonder? Who can stand to see another person’s freedom ?

A family show based on a novel by Göran Tunström, who received the Nordic Counsil's literature award.

The artists behind this performance combine good and evil, designer and puppet builder Patrick Maire places the performers in a space full of memories.

Within the room are shiney white scenes with sculptures coming to life, and colored by a world of projected illustrations.

Composer Terje Johannesen has been inspired by well-known children’s songs.
